Making Games I Want Others to Love
As a student of the University of Washington Bothell, I majored in Applied Computing with a concentration in Game Design. I aspire to work in a tightly-knit development studio that creates beloved games and inspires our industry and gaming communities.
Why I Love Games and Game Development
Like many people, I grew up playing fantastic games that brought me into their worlds and provided an experience like no other. What I grew to appreciate is how these games are constructed to target a specific emotion and game feel. The developers' commitment to seeing their vision reached, and feeling the passion in those works.
I grew up playing XBOX and PC, a Halo and Age of Empires nerd. Seeing the franchises change over their releases was inspiring to dissent what made them change while keeping their identity. This curiosity, lead to a deep plunge into studying interaction cause-effect, game theory, and the technical background of making games. Catching up to the present, I am finishing my formal Bachelor's Degree with multiple games under my belt, and the experience of being in many positions of the game development process.
I am certain I belong in this industry. More than anything else, I just want to create games that make others feel the way I did playing Halo 2 and Age of Empires 3 all those years ago. Hopefully, in turn, inspiring others to follow in my footsteps.
